I have run my GMC Suburban on the treatment for about 6000 miles, I have yet to see negative change in my oil or antifreeze system. According to the manufacture, if used correctly it should be permanent. If ever have the need to flush the system again, I'd recomend using a coolant system additive as well to continue protection of the patch. However, reflushing may not even be neccesary as your system should pretty clean by the time your done with the process.

Question
Odds of working/side effects with oilflow
About the headgasket repair bottle kit..Prior to reading about it,i was quoted $800.to have this repair done and so im skeptic about your product and have heard products like that could damage others parts to the vehicle such as the oil flow to the major motor parts..However if you back up this product and its guaranteed to work im a interested..the vehicle is a 96 cavalier ls with a 2.4 twin cam.when the head gasket blew it was parked immediately and has been sitting for about 3yrs. i just purchased it off a friend because they had no time to spend the 15hrs required to replace the head gasket..
Any info, you can give me would be appreciated..thank you..Bob

This is a great product to try before diving into a high dollar labor intensive job, Though after the motor has been sitting so long your best option may be to disassemble the top half of the motor to ensure that the valves are still free and there is no rust inside of the cylinder heads if it has been sitting for that amount of time ,
As well this will not effect your oil flow

Question
How does it know where the leak is?
I've an '85 300TD Mercedes & its' head gasket is leaking both oil & water. How does this product seal an oil leak if it is to be installed in the cooling system?
Also, how does it know that what it is stopping up with its' "bullet-proof" vest is actually a leak & not a vital fluid passage?
Thanks.
