What is the depth of this when it is retracted under the RV? I only have 13" and I am concerned that it is deeper than that. I am looking for a double step that has treads deeper than 8", which is too narrow for us. Can you help?

Item # ZX159970 is the closest to what you are needing. It is a double step that extends down 12" when open and 8" when closed. The steps measure 24"W x 8"D.
