Yes. I have purchased a set.
The mechanism is as described by the other person's answer. It works very well, safely locking the leg in either open or closed position. It means that there would be two ways to mount the leg, so it can be mounted either on a vertical or on an horizontal surface. The lock feels secure, yet smooth and easy to unlock.

I wondered that too. So I copied the photo to "my pictures" and rotated it to get a better look. And the answer is yes. The screw holes are part of a "C" shaped bracket that holds the leg. The bracket has two sets of tabs that lock into the slots on the leg. Pressing a thumb tab on the leg releases the leg from the bracket allowing the leg to fold and lock into the bracket again.

Legs are sold individually. Great for special projects requirering only 1 or two legs, like mine was.
