This is a great guage that can be used on any vehicle that draws a vacuum when it runs. Simply find a nipple outlet, preferably below the carb and hook it up. Don't hook to a vacuum nipple that is attached to a holding tank or that works through a sensor as you will not get correct readings.

it is a simple vacuum meter; the more vacuum of the engine the less gas you are burning. it is connected to a port in the maniful by probably a '"T" and a small diameter hose.

This is basically a very accurate vacuum guage. It hooks to a vacuum source that is not regulated by sensors or holding tanks. Some newer vehicles don't have any extra outlets. In this case, some have tapped into the power brake vacuum line. This is a last resort. Use a galvanized or brass "T" with ribbed nipples on each end that fit the inside of the large hose, and then use a 3/16" nipple on the center of the "T" for the guage. Be sure to use teflon tape on the threads of the ribbed nipples when installing in the "T". Make sure that you install and tighten clamps on the hose ends on all sides of the "T". You will like this guage.
