For cars, trucks, station wagons, vans and buses Efficient—heaters use warm engine coolant to heat vehicle as you drive Easy to install! Some drilling and/or cutting required. Instruction
you have a few options you can use a jump pack for a 12v source with a 12v accesory plug that goes into the cigarrette plug on the jump pack or you can have a deep cycle 12 volt battery in the trunk and a onboard battery charger and then charge everytime it goes back in the garage or every week whatever you feel like
also the fan will work on 6v but it will go slowley like your normal car when your battery is dead after you left your headlights on

Question
Is there a recommended engine capacity to run a heater matrix of this size?
I realise engines and applications will vary in terms of their heat generation but is there a sensible rule of thumb to follow when selecting a heating solution (cc's vs BTU's).
I want good heat but obviously not an oversized luke-warm matrix.
My requirement is for a VW bus with a 1.8 subaru impreza engine.
